Photo of Matt I’m a PhD student in quantum computation at the University of Maryland. Previously, I worked as an independent software consultant, advising clients on issues ranging from web app performance to database optimization. During my school years I interned at a variety of places including Microsoft, the Oxford Department of Psychiatry, and the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland.

I studied math, computer science and physics at Oxford, earning a master’s in math and computer science. Focussing on quantum information there, I was advised by Artur Ekert and Steven Simon.

In my free time I like to read, swim and boulder. I enjoy connecting with people, and you can email me at hello@{this domain}
